(No, not brother/sister relationships, you perverts.)
(Okay, so I am not immune to the attractions of brother/sister relationships either. I'm a pervert too. But you knew that!)
(But I digress.)
And then I was thinking about the festival of Raksha Bandhan, which I only know about from A Suitable Boy.
And then I was thinking, wouldn't it be awesome if there was a pan-fandom Raksha Bandhan fic exchange, celebrating "the chaste bond of love between a brother and a sister," as Wikipedia puts it?
Which is probably horribly inappropriate.
Raksha Bandhan is on August 13th this year, incidentally.

I think the reason it was hard is that a lot of my fandoms are scifi, and characters tend to be at work, so you don't see their families as much, and The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency is almost an exception but not quite... But I do Disney, too, and anyway there are lots of relationships I can think of between brothers or between sisters in those fandoms. Huh.

Date: 2011-06-09 07:51 pm (UTC)I actually kind of love this idea. I wonder if there is anywhere I could ask to see if it would be horribly inappropriate. The problem is that I'm afraid people will rightfully take offense even at the question.

Also I doubt I am socially ept enough to actually run a fic exchange.
